Dark Town

12. September 2007

Here I’m standing,
Wasting all my time.
It’s getting dark, its starts to rain.
My coat gets wet, my shoes are soaked.
In this dark town, in this dark town.

I’m waiting here for hours;
You said you would come
To that shabby bar right over there
And we could talk about …
In this dark town, in this dark town.

I hate this town, hate the clouds and all the rain.
I hate this town, where all words are lost and vain.
I hate this town, I miss the summer, miss the sun.
I hate this town, yes, I want joy, I want fun.
I hate this town, whished I’d be long gone.
I hate this town, either leave, leave or die.

My heart is filled with grief,
My glasses are with wine.
Where is my home? Can’t find my way.
The chill is creeping up my back.
In this cold town, in this cold town.

I hate this town…

Here I am standing,
Wasting all my time.
It’s getting light, the rain has stopped.
Black cat is passing, left to right.
Left to right? Left to right!
In this damned town, in this damned town.

I hate this town…
