My Little Messengers

26. April 2008

I gave my kisses little legs,
So that like spiders they can climb
The steepest cliff, the mountains high.

I made my kisses coloured wings
On wich like birds they will soar
Up in the air, they’ll fly the sky.

I shaped my kisses shiny fins
Like slender fish they swim across
Oceans spreading far beyond the eye.

I built my kisses million scales
So like the snakes they sidle slowly
In desert sands so hot and dry.

But when they reach you in the end,
These never tiring travellers,
My love’s messengers they’ll need
None of these; they will just
Be what they are, evaporate,
Any you will know.
